The first time that I left the country on a European business trip, I did not have to drive.  It was a fortunate thing, because up until that point, I had never even heard of an LHD car.  During my next trip to Europe, I was assigned to drive a rental, and I was happy to have prepared myself mentally for this experience.  The rental place gave me the opportunity to get used to the road system by using their test course.  It was a good thing too, because I was not even close to as ready as I thought I was!
