In all the years I’ve been moving into homes and buying and repairing homes for resale, I’ve never found a time when the Fireplace had to be replaced. Many of these do need some repair done to the mantle but the main fire pit and brick chimney is usually in great repair. The portable fireplaces also tend to last a great deal of time before they need replacing. I’ve purchased a few of these in the past to add to a place but they too seem to be sticking around, even in heavy use, for the long term. It makes me wonder how so many fireplaces are sold every year!
