I have been using the twitter platform for about six months now as a promotional tool.  I have done a lot of reading about how to make twitter an effective marketing tool and have been working on implementing some of the suggested strategies.  You can’t just send a bunch of promotional tweets to your followers all day long or you will find yourself with no followers.  You have to build a relationship with them so they pay attention to your tweets.  I have been using games for twitter to help me build that important relationship.  I send tweets to my followers about my game progress and scores and they do the same.  Every once in a while I send a tweet with a link to an offer.
