Patriarchal Blessings
December 7th, 2009 . by adminIn The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mormon Doctrineteaches that one of the offices of the priesthood is patriarch. This is an office which has existed since the times of the Old Testament. Today, when a worthy man is called to serve as a patriarch, he is set apart in that office for life. A patriarch is given special power to give blessings to individuals which will serve these individuals as a guide throughout their lives. Appropriately, these are called patriarchal blessings. Mormon Doctrine teaches that God loves all of His children and wants them to succeed and be redeemed.
